Copper gleam in Zenith eyes as exploration accelerates

Zenith Minerals executive chairman Peter Bird has described copper as the most underfunded input commodity in the green energy supply chain as the company steps up exploration at Develin Creek and Flanagans.

Outlining the work planned in coming weeks at the company's Queensland copper assets, Mr Bird highlighted the favourable supply-demand balance for red metal producers.

Zenith delves deeper at Red Mountain

Zenith Minerals has started a follow-up drill program to a depth of 400m at its Red Mountain gold project in Central Queensland.

It comes after the company intersected high-grade near-surface gold in the maiden and subsequent drill programs last year.

Copper-zinc rich massive sulphides intersection at CQ prospect

Drilling at Zenith Mineral's Snook prospect in Central Queensland has intersected copper rich sulphides.

The maiden seven-hole drill program is part of the company's Develin Creek volcanic hosted massive sulphide system (VMS) project.

The Snook prospect contained similar levels of copper, zinc, lead, silver and gold to those in Zenith's existing JORC resource inventory 30km to the north said CEO Mick Clifford.

Zenith kicks off Snook drilling campaign

Zenith Minerals has started maiden RC drill testing at the Snook copper prospect in Central Queensland.

The target is part of its Develin Creek copper-zinc project, which has an inferred mineral resource 2.57 million tonnes at 1.76 per cent copper, 2.01 per cent zinc, 0.24g/t gold and 9.6g/t silver.

Zenith said an initial program of six RC holes would be completed at Snook, with the deeper holes being cased for future downhole electromagnetic (EM) geophysical surveying.

Zenith Minerals says work completed at Red Mountain has outlined a discrete sub-vertical high-grade gold zone.

This high-grade gold zone remains open at depth and future programs will commence step-out drilling to assess size potential.

Zenith Minerals is looking at options to accelerate activities at the Red Mountain gold project, including mobilising a diamond drill rig to site, after further high-grade results.

Step-out reverse circulation drilling in a program of 31 holes is continuing on site with recent results including 12m at 8.9 g/t gold from 68m depth (including 4m at 25.9 g/t gold).

Zenith Minerals has recommenced drilling at its Red Mountain gold project in Central Queensland.

The follow-up drill campaign, to be conducted over the coming months, will aim to define the limits of gold mineralisation and test continuity for high-grade near-surface gold mineralisation discovered in Zenith’s maiden drill test.

Samples show promise for Flanagans project

Initial reconnaissance sampling has confirmed high-grade gold, silver and copper at surface at Zenith Minerals' Flanagans and Great Blackall prospects.

They are within the Flanagans project, which sits in the same region as Evolution Mining’s Cracow and Mount Rawdon mines in southern Queensland.

Rock reveals promise in Zenith’s new Snook prospect

Sampling at Zenith Minerals' new Snook prospect has returned highly encouraging base metal and gold values, up to 7.58 per cent copper and 0.48 g/t gold.

The new copper prospect was identified 30km south of Zenith’s current JORC resources at the Develin Creek copper-zinc-gold project, west of Rockhampton.

Initial geological reconnaissance mapping and soil sampling has outlined a 25m wide zone of gossanous sedimentary (bleached and sheared) rocks over 150m of strike.
