Zenith Minerals says the latest drill results at Red Mountain confirm a wide, near-surface mineralised gold zone.

The new gold assay results stem from the first seven follow up RC holes of an ongoing drill program at the Central Queensland project.

They include:

• 12m at 2.2 g/t gold from surface, including 8m at 3.1 g/t gold.
• 5m at 1.7 g/t gold from 25m, including 3m at 2.6 g/t gold and 8m at 1.4 g/t gold from 35m, including 4m at 2.4 g/t gold.

Zenith says the gold zone is open along strike to north, south and at depth with step-out RC drilling recommencing again this week.

“Assay results from new drill holes confirm the presence of a 20 – 30m wide steep easterly dipping zone of gold mineralisation,” Zenith CEO Mick Clifford said.

“The zone has now been extended to the south. Step-out drilling to the north and south covering a strike extent of approximately 500m will now proceed with more confidence, and I look forward to providing further updates on this exciting program.”

High grade gold assays from drilling at Red Mountain peak at 58.3 g/t gold whilst silver results peak at 160 g/t silver.
