A tender notice has gone out for civil contractors for work on Stage 1 of DriveIT NQ’s $25 million project at Calcium outside Townsville.

The tendered works include bulk earthworks and roadworks, which includes the construction of a 2.4ha vehicle manoeuvring Area. (View the notice HERE)

The DriveIT NQ Motorsport and Driver Education Facility aims to provide a safe venue for an array of motor sports.

However the prime focus will be provision of driver education and training.

The project has attracted $12 million in Federal funding.
