Q3 kickoff for CopperString 2.0 build

North Queensland based company CopperString 2.0 says construction work on a major infrastructure project connecting the north west’s burgeoning mining industry with the east coast power grid is likely to start this quarter. CopperString ready to connect and deliver Premier’s North Queensland Super Hub “The very early things you do are place very large orders for steel, for conductors, and for the big primary plant elements, transformers, et cetera. “There is a lot of on the ground mobilization in terms of preparing camps and access tracks, working with the traditional owners and the landowners and the local councils to put a large linear infrastructure in place. “Transmission lines are different to railways and things like that. You have a footprint every half a kilometre or so, rather than a giant corridor as you would need for a railway or a road or something like that.”
