North Queensland businesses will receive an update on local Defence projects this month with a breakfast event hosted by the State Government and Regional Development Australia Townsville and North West Queensland.

Topics include an update from FKG/AECOM JV on the $120 million North Queensland Mid-Term Refresh program. This encompasses work at RAAF Base Townsville, HMAS Cairns, and Townsville Field Training Area.

Cushman and Wakefield will present on Defence Estate Works Program (EWP) Service Delivery Model, including information about the forward works forecast and the contract process.

Ewan Ward from the Australian Cyber Security Centre is scheduled to provide a presentation on the importance of cyber security when working on Defence projects.
