The roof structure is finished and developer Martin Locke has shared a video update as construction of Townsville’s new Flinders Lane project continues.

Mr Locke’s firm is delivering the public laneway development for the Townsville City Council.

The CBD venue will feature a two-storey retail/food and beverage precinct opening out onto an interactive public laneway with a stage and amphitheatre.

Businesses involved in the project include Magnetic Steel Works, Guucci Roofing, Australian Professional Galvanizing, Franzmann Plumbing, Electrotek Qld, Patriot Crane Hire and Peterson Construction (project management).

The coming month is expected to see laneway roof soffits completed and the balcony structure against the building completed down to Ogden St.

Amenities wall finishes and restoration of the Ogden St footpath should be commenced sometime in June and the stepped seating and ramp should reach about 75 per cent completion.
