Titov firms Ravenswood West potential

Sunshine Gold says work at its Ravenswood West project has confirmed a large-scale copper-molybdenum system at the Titov prospect. Titov is the first of at least five of copper-molybdenum prospects that will be tested by Sunshine Gold along a 15km prospective corridor. Assays results from the first two holes into Titov include 121m at 0.35 per cent copper, 0.11 per cent molybdenum, 1.99 g/t silver from 1m (including 1m at 1.38 per cent molybdenum, 1.86 g/t silver from 13m, and 4m at 0.86 per cent molybdenum, 4.72 g/t silver from 31m). Another hole delivered 91m at 0.25 per cent copper, 0.05 per cent molybdenum, 1.37 g/t silver from surface (with 8m at 0.26 per cent copper, 0.06 per cent molybdenum, 1.49 g/t silver from 109m, and 14m at 0.25 per cent copper, 0.04 per cent molybdenum, 1.24 g/t silver from 135m). “We are encouraged by the potential of Titov where we have confirmed the large-scale system potential, the southerly plunge to mineralisation and gathered a full geochemical suite," Sunshine Gold managing director Damien Keys said. "Titov is the first of a suite of Cu-Mo prospects that will be tested along a 15km long corridor. We will maintain momentum at Titov with geophysical surveys, diamond drilling and soil sampling commencing in November 2021." First pass reconnaissance drilling at the Keans copper-molybdenum-gold-silver prospect was completed this week. Fifteen holes (1830m) were drilled testing a series of veins, with the program intersecting significant mineralisation in the form of discrete quartz–chalcopyrite–molybdenite veins in several holes. "Pleasingly, drilling at Keans has also intersected sulphide mineralisation, particularly in holes drilled around the two historic mine shafts," Mr Keys said. Soil sampling is soon to commence in the greater Titov area. Sunshine Gold said the sampling would test a full multi-element suite on a 200m x 50m grid space. Two diamond holes are planned to be drilled at Titov in late November. The holes will provide information on the mineralised system at depth. Sunshine Gold – which listed on the ASX late last year – represents a rebadging of Pelican Resources, which snapped up exploration company XXXX Gold in 2020. With that acquisition came the Triumph gold project, 50km south of Gladstone, the Investigator copper project just 12km south of the Mount Gordon (Capricorn Copper) mine in North West Queensland and the Hodgkinson gold-copper project 100km north-east of Cairns. It subsequently acquired the Ravenswood West gold-copper-rare earths project in North Queensland from a Stavely Minerals subsidiary (Ukalunda). Sunshine Gold also plans to kick off drilling at its Triumph gold project in November as well as field mapping at the Investigator project. The Triumph drilling program is set to comprise more than 8500m of diamond and RC in preparation for a maiden JORC 2012 Resource to be released in March 2022.
