Council lays out Cairns roadworks plans after $9.15m grant
Cairns Regional Council will spend more than $9 million over the next five years on seven key road infrastructure projects.
They include a makeover for a busy road in Earlville, with plans for new footpaths, lighting and tree planting to achieve an attractive boulevard affect.
The council this week endorsed the $1.55 million upgrade of Balaclava Rd between Watson St and Mulgrave Rd, following on from Stage 1 upgrades on the western end of Balaclava Rd in 2018/19.
The
project, set to be largely completed by December 2019, will be funded through
the Works for Queensland. . .
