Mine job vacancies tighten
Vacancies in the mining industry have tightened.
The DFP Mining and Resources Job Index March edition describes a decline of more than 31 percent (year on year) across the country since the start of the year.
The decline in March was 8.2%. Permanent vacancies continue to fall far more steeply than temporary and contract work within the sector the report said.
"Recent rises in vacancies in Queensland have not continued, with a 4.2 per cent fall recorded in March erasing the gains made earlier in the year."
