Moranbah ammonium nitrate plant

Major turnaround project for Moranbah plant

A major shutdown project at Moranbah's Dyno Nobel ammonium nitrate plant is set to swell local workforce numbers by about 550.

Parent company Incitec Pivot said the turnaround of the Moranbah plant was set to run for about seven weeks from early May, with on-site preparations beginning next month.

Incitec Pivot managing director and chief executive officer Jeanne Johns said Monadelphous would act as general contractor for the upcoming project.

Hydrogen in the spotlight with interactive map

Data on a raft of Queensland hydrogen projects is easily accessible online thanks to an updated interactive map and the HyResource website.

Geoscience Australia has worked with CSIRO, Future Fuels CRC, National Energy Resources Australia and the Australian Hydrogen Council for the project.

Incitec Pivot in $675m fundraising drive

Phosphate Hill mine owner Incitec Pivot has launched a $675 million capital-raising drive.

The industrial explosives, chemicals and fertiliser-maker describes it as pre-emptive action to increase resilience and provide financial flexibility to pursue growth opportunities.

The company is undertaking a fully underwritten institutional placement of shares to raise $600 million and a non-underwritten share purchase plan of up to $75 million.

The capital raising came as IPL announced its half-year results, showing a net profit after tax of $65 million - up 54 per cent compared to the previous six months.
