Castillo turns from NSW assets to focus on Big One

Castillo Copper is looking to sharpen its focus on its Mount Oxide project in North West Queensland, with plans to divest its Broken Hill Alliance (BHA) project in New South Wales.

The move followed a strategic review, factoring into account the excellentrecent drill results from Big One deposit at Mount Oxide, the company said.

It is considering divestment opportunities including a possible spin-off of the BHA asset into a new vehicle which could be listed in either London or Australia.

The Castillo board believes this is an optimal way to create value for shareholders while freeing up resources to. . .

Castillo builds confidence in Big One deposit

Castillo Copper has released what it describes as 'game changing' assay results confirming a major copper discovery at Big One deposit.

The latest results significantly extend known mineralisation and clearly confirm there is a high-grade, shallow scalable copper system at the North West Queensland site, the company says.

It is accelerating development plans for the deposit, with a geophysics campaign being formulated and modelling of a JORC-compliant resource underway.

The latest results include 40m at 1.64 per cent copper including 1m at 16.65 per cent and 44m at 1. . .

Castillo’s Big One drilling campaign kicks off

Castillo Copper has kicked off a significant drilling campaign at the Big One deposit within the Mount Oxide project in North-West Queensland.

The work will include more than 35 reverse circulation drill holes for about 4385m and an incremental 160m diamond drilling campaign targetingtwo drill-holes.

It aims to confirm the extension of known mineralisation at the site, especially how deep high-grade supergene mineralisation extends from surface and if this transitions into underlying sulphides at depth.

Previous drilling intersected up to 28.4 per cent copper, with the best high-grade economic intercept 3m at 12.25 per. . .

Depco Drilling in Mount Oxide agreement

Castillo Copper has selected Depco Drilling as the lead contractor for the upcoming reverse cycle and diamond drill campaigns at the Big One deposit and Arya prospect within the Mount Oxide project.

Castillo said the drilling company had agreed to accept a material proportion of their fees in shares, with a six-month voluntary escrow period.

“This is an excellent result, as we now have an in-principle agreement with a specialist Queensland-based driller that knows the Mount Oxide region well," Castillo Copper UK director Ged Hall said.

"Further, after all the hard work our geology team have done. . .

Geos bring new insights ahead of Big One drilling

Castillo Copper's geology team has pegged 35 drill-sites at the Big Onedeposit in North West Queensland, ready for the upcoming drilling campaign.

In addition, the company says the team found visual evidence of supergene and massive sulphide mineralisation at surface, and potential linkages indicating Big One could be part of a larger IOCG mineralised system.

“The insights the geology team were able to gather at site are outstanding, especially visual evidence there is high-grade copper mineralisation across the Big One deposit," Castillo Copper UK director Ged Hall said.

Castillo outlines plans to tackle Big One

Castillo Copper has outlined its plans for back-to-back drilling campaigns at the Arya prospect and Big One deposit at Mount Oxide in North West Queensland.

A 35-hole reverse circulation drilling program is planned to focus on a strike zone at Big One, drilling about 4385m, as well as incremental diamond drilling targeting two drill-holes showing substantial shallow mineralisation.

Previous drilling in the area has produced high-grade intercepts, up to 28.4 per cent copper.

The RC drilling campaign previously announced for the Arya prospect will comprise 3432m over 14 drill-holes, targeting near-surface and. . .

Castillo keen to fast-track Mount Oxide drilling

Castillo Copper is keen to fast-track drilling at the Arya prospect and Big One deposit within its Mount Oxide project in North West Queensland.

Several drilling contractors are being invited to submit quotes to run the twin RC drilling campaigns, the company says.

It says the application to progress the drilling campaigns will be filed with Queensland’s resources regulator and, once approval is secured, the drilling teams will be fast-tracked to site.

Arya is prospective for IOCG mineralisation, while the Big One comprises shallow high-grade supergene copper ore.
