Bonanza gold results have Tombola Gold taking a close look at how the Trump prospect could fit into its Cloncurry production plans.

Drilling at Trump last year delivered high-grade intersections including 6m at 32.90g/t fold - including 4m grading at 48.90g/t gold - within a total intersection of 153m continuous copper gold and cobalt mineralisation.

The company said Trump, located east of its advanced Mount Freda project, would receive an upgrade in priority for possible high grade-ore supply to that project's production.

Ausmex Mining Group is ramping up exploration efforts around the King Brown outcrop after costean samples producing high-grade copper and cobalt results.

It is only through delays in gaining the mining lease for the nearby Golden Mile gold project outside Cloncurry that the company turned its attention to exploring the King Brown area.

Ausmex geologists commenced multiple costeans over visual outcrops of mineralisation west of King Brown and discovered additional zones of possible associated mineralisation, the company said.

New estimates take the resource at Ausmex Mining Group's Mount Freda complex near Cloncurry to 124,300oz of gold as the company continues to fine-tune mining plans.

Ausmex said it was focused on completing the feasibility study for the historical Mount Freda mine, with the possibility of an open-cut mining operation to extend the pit as well as underground mining by declinemethod.

Previous open-pit operations there ceased production in 1991 due to plummeting gold prices.

Ausmex Mining Group says it is stepping closer to gold production in the Cloncurry area, with infill drilling to be completed at Golden Mile by the end of the month and upgraded resources estimates to follow.

The company is focusing on the three most western of the eight historical gold mines in its Golden Mile project - the Comstock, Falcon and Shamrock sites.

It said it planned to commence gold production this quarter, dependent on the mining lease being granted.

Ausmex Mining Group is continuing to head for an early 2021 start to production at its Comstock gold mine, after a final draft feasibility study indicating a 'highly robust return on investment'.

Comstock is an historical high-grade gold mine that forms part of the Golden Mile project area and lies about 500m north of the Ausmex flagship Mount Freda project near Cloncurry.

Ausmex said the final draft feasibility study of the Comstock, Falcon and Shamrock mines was very positive, even though it was based on the current JORC resource estimates.

Golden Mile mines in fast lane for 2021 start

Cloncurry gold developer Ausmex Mining Group says it expects to start mining in the first quarter of 2021 at the historic Comstock, Falcon and Shamrock gold mines.

They are part of a group of eight high-grade historical gold mines thatmake up the Golden Mile project.

Independent mine management group Minecraft had been appointedmanagers of the project, Ausmex managing director Aaron Day said in an announcement to the ASX this week.

Ausmex preparing pit for underground mining

Ausmex Mining Group is continuing a dewatering program at the historical Mount Freda open-cut gold mine as it works towards a planned start to underground mining.

Underground operations were expected to commence in early 2021, subject to the completion of resource upgrade work, scoping and cost studies, prefeasibility study and gold price, the company said.

In its quarterly update Ausmex said more than 150 million litres of water had been removed from the pit, exposing the lower declines which were the subject of upgrade resource drilling.

Ausmex ‘proactive’ in march towards mining

Ausmex has started dewatering the old open-cut workings at the Mount Freda project and moved its first building on site as it prepares to start mining.

People would have noticed an increase in activity around Cloncurry in the past few weeks according to the company’s interim managing director Aaron Day, a local resident of 13 years.

“Our first building has arrived in Cloncurry. (Thursday) morning we put it on a truck and now it’s on site,” he said.

It will be an office and amenities unit, ready for the arrival of mining engineers, environmental officers, drill crews. . .

ActivEX finds backing for Ravenswood gold project

ActivEX has entered a new partnership to advance its Ravenswood gold project, covering five tenements in the Charters Towers minerals province.

The company has finalised a joint venture and farm-in agreement with unlisted company Ballymore Gold, which would see Ballymore spending up to $2 million to assess and explore the land package.

In addition to earn-in rights under the agreement, Ballymore has the option at any time to acquire 100 per cent interest in the Ravenswood project for $5 million (cash and/or scrip).

Ausmex has brought Como Engineers onboard to help weigh up its processing options as it pushes ahead with plans to start producing gold by the end of the year.

The company plans to establish a Cloncurry mining hub with multiple pits centred on the Mount Freda and Golden Mile gold projects.

The operations would employ 50-100 people, and Ausmex executive director and chief operating officer Geoff Kidd said the company planned to use a local workforce and to support local business.

The companies today announced a strategic alliance as Ausmex continues its drive to begin producing gold from its Cloncurry district tenements in 2020.

Ausmex Mining says it is committed to fast-tracking the Mt Freda complex into production in 2020 as high-grade gold results continue to roll in from its drill program.
