Cooper Metals reports visual sulphide mineralisation in all four drill holes in its recent King Solomon 1 diamond drilling campaign.

The drill core has been cut and about 290 samples submitted to the laboratory for analysis, with assays expected in October.

The company has launched a trial downhole electromagnetic survey (DHEM) to test the mineralisation and help design a campaign of deeper holes testing for depth extensions to the plunging shoots.

The copper-gold prospect lies within Cooper Metals‘ Mount Isa East project in North-West Queensland.

Managing director Ian Warland said that hole 23MEDH002 in the latest campaign intersected a strongly mineralised zone of around 11m downhole with semimassive sulphides in brecciated rocks.

Meanwhile, hole 23MEDH004 intersected around 10m downhole of strongly mineralised sulphide veins in quartz carbonate-rich rock.

“A trial downhole electromagnetic survey is underway to test the mineralisation’s geophysical response and its applicability to deeper drill targeting,” he said.

“Geological logging and interpretation continues and we look forward to updating the market on the drill hole assays and geophysical results as they come to hand.”
