Rourke moves on from Resource Industry Network
Adrienne Rourke has resigned as general manager of the Resource Industry Network after six years in the role.
RIN chairman Dave Hartigan shared the news with members this week, saying that Ms Rourke left an indelible legacy of work that had benefited the entire METS sector in the Mackay region.
“The RIN board and team would like to sincerely thank Adrienne for her commitment and dedication during the past six years, particularly through the past resources downturns and the tremendous work carried out during the recovery phase,” he said.
“RIN’s membership base has never been higher than it is currently, and this is a direct result of Adrienne’s tenacity, enthusiasm, and motivation.”
Mr Hartigan said Ms Rourke had driven initiatives including the establishment of the MIW METS Export Hub, advocated successfully for 30-day payment terms, and was responsible for much of the background work on the Resources Centre of Excellence.
“Adrienne has also played a crucial part in putting the region’s METS sector on the national stage, as well as contributing to many national working groups, and representing the region on the 2030 Resources Taskforce,” he said.
Based in Mackay, the Resource Industry Network is a peak industry association representing companies who work with and in the mining sector.
