Centrex is topping up its funds to help cover an interim tailings facility and mine site accommodation as it steps up its flagship Ardmore phosphate project in North-West Queensland. The company has received firm commitments for a placement of approximately 47.2m shares to raise $4.25 million. It has also announced a share purchase plan to raise up to a further $1 million. “This placement and SPP allows us to bring forward the construction of key infrastructure items for our previously announced Stage 1.5 Project at our flagship Ardmore phosphate project and increase production," Centrex managing director Robert Mencel said. New geochemistry results from Many Peaks Gold's Mount Steadman project have doubled the extent of surface gold anomalism. Testing at the newly defined N-21 gold target yielded a peak soil value of 2,170ppb gold. Many Peaks plans follow-up work including drill testing of two targets on the Fitzroy prospect and N-21 prospect. Mount Steadman is located 19km south of Evolution Mining’s Mount Rawdon gold operation and 70km south-east of Many Peaks’ Yarrol site, where it has been granted a licence forming a 56sq km contiguous extension to the project. Comet Ridge says its long-term gas sales agreement with CleanCo Queensland is advancing through the approval process and is expected to be executed in mid-September. The negotiation period under the Deed of Option has been extended. “We are very pleased to have substantially completed this long-term gas sales agreement," Comet Ridge managing director Tor McCaul said. "This will be Comet Ridge’s inaugural GSA for the Mahalo Gas Hub.” Dalrymple Bay Infrastructure managing director and chief executive officer Anthony Timbrell is leaving the group. Mr Timbrell has been at DBI and predecessor companies for 15 years, serving as chief executive officer for 13 of those years. Mr Timbrell said: “I am extremely proud of DBI and our team. During my time at DBI we have maintained an excellent safety record, invested over $400 million in non-expansionary capital (NECAP) into the Dalrymple Bay Terminal for the benefit of our customers, and delivered stable, predictable and growing distributions for our shareholders.” Frank Tudor is stepping down from his role as managing director of Jemena and chairman of Zinfra after five years of leadership of the company. The board has appointed Jemena chief financial officer David Gillespie as acting managing director from September 1. Green Critical Minerals has drilled 14 reconnaissance holes at widely separated locations at its North Barkly project in the Northern Territory. The company said it had achieved its main objective of testing the rare earth enrichments in weathered Mesozoic cover at the project. The initial assays are expected in mid to late September. Atlas Copco has agreed to acquire dewatering pump manufacturer Sykes Group from Seven Group Holdings for an undisclosed amount. Sykes serves the mining and wastewater segments with a wide range of surface dewatering pumps, together with chopper and cutter technologies for wastewater applications. It also has a portfolio of hydraulic submersible pumps.
