Updates on Richmond Vanadium Technology, Sunshine Gold, Hammer Metals, CleanCo and more … Sunshine Gold has confirmed the large-scale system potential of its Keans prospect in North Queensland after mapping high-grade copper, molybdenum and silver around 350m west of drilled mineralisation. Rock chip results include: 7.50 per cent copper, 0.13 per cent molybdenum, 12.3 g/t silver, 0.14 g/t gold; and 5.60 per cent copper, 0.24 per cent molybdenum, 106 g/t silver, 0.62 per cent lead, 0.12 per cent antimony. Drilling at Keans will be incorporated into a broader program planned at various prospects at Ravenswood West during 2023. Richmond Vanadium Technology has appointed Epic Environmental to complete the environmental impact statement and support with the related approvals for its Richmond vanadium project in North Queensland. Epic will undertake the scope of works in parallel to the bankable feasibility study being undertaken for the project. “Conducting the EIS and securing the associated approvals in parallel with the bankable feasibility study, positions RVT to rapidly develop our globally important vanadium project with demand for the commodity set to grow in the coming years,” RVT managing director Dr Shaun Ren said. Tennant Minerals has announced bonanza gold results from the latest drilling at its Bluebird copper-gold discovery at the Barkly project, 40km east of tennant Creek in the Northern Territory. Results include 24m at 0.66 per cent copper and 11.8 g/t gold from 161m downhole, including 5.7m at 0.74 per cent copper and 49.3 g/t gold from 161m. The Bluebird discovery is now over 240m strike-length, extends to over 250m below surface and remains open in all directions. SQX Resources has started drilling at its Scrub Paddock tenement following its successful ASX listing last month. The 2500m RC and diamond drilling program is targeting known gold and copper mineralisation, which is currently defined by mineralised drill intercepts and a surface anomalism that extends across a 2km strike length. "The SQX team is pleased to have achieved another milestone, with drilling now underway at Scrub Paddock. We are looking forward to receiving assay results to better understand mineralisation in the area, with initial results expected within Q2 2023,” SQX chief executive officer Mark Purcell said. Hammer Metals reports highly encouraging preliminary results from a Fixed-Loop Electro-Magnetic (FLEM) program at Hardway in North-West Queensland, where significant copper-rare earths mineralisation was recently intersected. High-priority targets at Hardway have been refined, with upcoming drilling to target a potential supergene zone located beneath the oxide copper. "With a coincident EM anomaly and copper workings stretching over a strike length of 500m, Hardway has the potential to deliver significant news-flow in the coming weeks," Hammer managing director Daniel Thomas said. “Drilling at Hardway has been prioritised for the start of the program with the rig scheduled to progress from there to our targets in the Mount Hope region." CleanCo Queensland has announced plans for a Clean Energy Hub future at its Swanbank site in the Ipswich area, including a 250MW battery and community co-design elements. CleanCo is launching an EOI process and seeking community input for a Clean Energy Hub at Swanbank - a combined gas cycle 385MW power station - that includes solar power, battery storage, and green hydrogen. The Ville Resort-Casino has inked a renewable energy deal with CleanCo expected to see the Townsville precinct powered by 100 per cent renewable energy by 2025. Energy, Renewables and Hydrogen Minister Mick de Brenni said The Ville was the first customer in Townsville to sign a clean energy supply agreement with CleanCo, and with the pace of renewables coming online there would be plenty more to come. The 10,000MWh deal includes clean energy from Kaban Green Power Hub in Far North Queensland.
