Iltani Resources has started drilling at its Orient silver-indium project after completing a 15-hole program (for 1395m drilled) at Antimony Reward. Iltani is planning 22 drill holes at Orient East and, to date, has completed five drill holes (for 742m drilled). "It is great to be drilling at Orient again, and the planned drilling at Orient East will give us a better understanding of the potential at Orient East, building on what we already have defined at Orient West," Iltani managing director Donald Garner said. "We are targeting the area at Orient East where we have previously intersected extensive high-grade mineralisation, notably 41m at 107.7g/t Ag Eq (silver equivalent) from 39m including 5m at 346.1g/t Ag Eq. from 59m in ORR003, and 38m at 190.4g/t Ag Eq. from 19m including 7m at 454.9g/t Ag Eq. from 27m in ORR001.” Gladstone Regional Council Mayor Matt Burnett has been elected president of the Local Government Association of Queensland (LGAQ). Cr Burnett said he would be an LGAQ “president for the entire State” and “always put Queensland councils first”. Mayor Burnett, who has been the LGAQ’S Acting President since June, is also president of the Australian Local Government Association. He was elected to Gladstone council in 2000, then served five years as deputy mayor before being elected mayor in 2016. The first batch of samples from an aircore drilling program at Pacgold's Alice River gold project has been dispatched to the lab for assays. Pacgold said the drilling contractor had completed 127 drillholes, consistently averaging 200-250m per day at the project, 300km north-west of Cairns. The company reported visible quartz veins and alteration in drill chips coincident with an IP resistivity anomaly and the known mineralised trend at the site's Northern Target. "Our first batch of samples has now been submitted for analysis and we expect the first results in a few weeks, which will form the basis for the ongoing RC drill planning and exploration program development for the next field season," Pacgold managing director Matthew Boyes said. "The geologists are pleased with what they are seeing in terms of the location of the veining and alteration fitting the previously developed targeting models and expanding on the known areas of mineralisation. I believe this aircore program will delineate significant new areas for drill testing with RC in 2025 and beyond.”
