Latest drilling boosts known reach of Duffer Lode

Ballymore Resources has continued to intersect the displaced extension of the high-grade Duffer Lode in its latest drilling at Dittmer, potentially doubling the known extent of the mineralised structure. The company has wrapped up its Stage 4 underground drilling program at the high-grade Dittmer gold/copper mine site near Proserpine and is gearing up to begin surface drilling across the greater project area. Its work at the old mine continues to demonstrate the continuity of the displaced lode, with all 42 holes drilled to date intersecting gold mineralisation within 30m of the old Dittmer workings. Ballymore said Stage 4 drilling, the deepest to date, confirmed that the lode structure extended for another 100m along strike and down-dip and was getting wider at depth. Assay results from the program included: DTDD031: 2.9m at 16.01 g/t gold from 109.6m downhole including 0.9m at 51.21 g/t gold from 109.6m DTDD032: 3.15m at 8.99 g/t gold from 93.85m including 0.35m at 79.32 g/t gold from 94.75m DTDD033: 1.80m at 12.85 g/t gold from 67.2m including 1.2m at 19.13 g/t gold from 67.8m including 0.4m at 54.64 g/t gold from 67.8m “These results continue to exceed expectations and have potentially doubled the known extent of this mineralised structure, which remains open in all directions," Ballymore technical director David A-Izzeddin said. "The current and planned programs are designed to further extend the known mineralisation at Dittmer and to assist in understanding just how big this deposit could be. "It will also test the regional potential of the broader Dittmer area which features high grade historic workings extending over 20km of strike. Ballymore reported that preparations were well advanced to commence surface drilling in the greater Dittmer area to test the lateral extent of the mineralisation, as demonstrated by the large geochemical footprint and presence of high-grade historic surface workings over more than 2km. Preparations have also commenced for a heliborne magnetic-radiometric survey scheduled to be flown in July. Ballymore attracted a $300,000 Collaborative Exploration Initiative (CEI) grant to conduct a low level survey over the entire Dittmer project area to assist delineating additional intrusive-related copper and gold targets and refining drill targets.
