CuDeco has announced the resignation of chairman Peter Hutchison from its board for health reasons.

Mr Hutchison has been a director since 2004 and has served as a member of CuDeco’s audit committee and the human resources, remuneration and nominations committee.

He said he left with regret as he believed that the future of the company would be successful following the restructuring process in progress.

CuDeco suspended operations at its Rocklands copper operation near Cloncurry on August 31.

It has carried out maintenance work it said would provide more reliable performance from the processing plant.

Mining and processing operations have remained while CuDeco undertakes a restructuring plan.
