Crater Gold Mining has resumed drilling at its Croydon projects in North Queensland, with work on its S3 graphite prospect boosted by a Collaborative Exploration Initiative (CEI) grant.

The company is receiving $110,000 under the State Government initiative for seven diamond core drill holes for a total of 500m to confirm the presence of interpreted graphite mineralisation.

After the completion of drilling at S3, Crater Gold said follow up drilling would be conducted at the S4 graphite discovery area.

The company also plans to drill other anomaly target areas, the S2 area at Croydon and at polymetallic areas.

Last year’s drilling program at Croydon culminated in four new graphite discoveries at the S1-S, S-1 (Extended), S4 and S7 areas.

Drill results included graphite intersections ranging up to 6.02 per cent over 21m and 8.8 per cent over 5m.
