Oasis uranium project

Greenvale Energy (ASX: GRV) acquired the Oasis uranium project in January 2025 from Maverick Exploration, Remlain and Mineral Intelligence. It is located 250km west of Townsville and 50km west of Greenvale.
The company carried out work including drilling and trenching at the site last year but has turned its focus to its Northern Territory uranium projects in 2026 – with no signs of the Queensland Government dropping its uranium mining ban.
Anglo American first identified the site’s uranium potential in 1973-74 from airborne radiometrics followed up by ground radiometrics, mapping and trenching.
From 1977-1979 Esso Minerals conducted ground radiometrics, mapping and drilling. Glengarry Resources completed due diligence diamond drill holes in 2006.
Geoscience Australia (GA) has age-dated Oasis uraninite and associated alteration sericite, determining a mineralisation age of 433 +/-4 Ma.
