An audience of more than 1000 is celebrating women in resources today at Southbank Convention Centre in Brisbane.

The 2025 Resources Awards for Women event was initially planned for International Women’s Day last month but was postponed due to hazardous conditions presented by ex-tropical cyclone Alfred.

The awards are co-hosted by the Queensland Resources Council (QRC) and Women in Mining and Resources Queensland (WIMARQ)

The event celebrated the achievements of the exceptional women in Queensland’s resources sector and shone a light on the importance of diverse and inclusive workplaces, the QRC said.
