Wallace North shines in latest assay results

True North Copper has confirmed a new high-grade copper-gold structure at Wallace North in a drilling program that delivered results including 25m at 4.2 per cent copper equivalent.

The company’s 2026 drilling program at its Cloncurry Copper Project combined resource extension, exploration and technical drilling across the Wallace North, Wallace South, Wallace East and Buena Vista prospects.

“Diamond drilling at Wallace North has confirmed a new high-grade copper-gold structure and significantly improves our understanding of the geometry and continuity of the mineralised system,” True North (ASX: TNC) managing director Andrew Mooney said.

“Together with the strong 2025 drilling results, this gives us greater confidence to grow the resource through targeted follow-up drilling and highlights the longer-term underground potential of the system.

“The broader 2026 drilling program has also strengthened the emerging Wallace-Wynberg copper-gold corridor, with additional shallow gold-copper mineralisation identified close to existing infrastructure, on mining leases, providing further opportunities to expand resources and enhance the overall value of the Cloncurry Copper Project.

“As we continue progressing toward a prefeasibility study and reserve, our focus remains on building a robust, right-sized Cloncurry Copper Project that encompasses resource growth, technical confidence and disciplined development to create long-term shareholder value.”

Assay highlights from Wallace North included:

  • 24.5m (19m ETW) at 2.17 per cent copper and 2.01g/t gold (4.2 per cent CuEq.), including 3.3m (2.6m ETW) at 10.11 per cent copper and 7.93g/t gold (18.1 percent CuEq), and 1.0m at 5.23 per cent copper and 13.54g/t gold (18.9 per cent CuEq.)
  • 11m (8.6m ETW) at 2.45 per cent copper and 0.43g/t gold (2.9 per cent CuEq), including 2.0m (1.6m ETW) at 10.62 per cent copper and 0.57g/t gold (11.2 per cent CuEq)

Further diamond drilling assay results are pending and True North is planning targeted follow-up drilling opportunities to infill and extend the newly identified high-grade Wallace North structures, with mineralisation remaining open to the north and along strike.

Next steps include the completion of metallurgical and geotechnical test work programs through to September to support future mine planning and development studies.
