Wallace North proves its worth for True North

The latest Wallace North drilling results continue to demonstrate the high-grade nature and value of the copper-gold system, according to True North Copper.

The deposit is part of the company’s Cloncurry Copper Project (CCP), with an upgraded mineral resource estimate announced this month of about 152,000 tonnes of contained copper and 171,000oz of gold.

True North said the results from Wallace North highlighted near-mine exploration and sulphide resource extension opportunities, including additional mineralised structures that could support further resource growth and optimisation of the broader CCP.

Key results include:

  • 32m at 0.86 per cent copper and 0.82g/t gold (1.69 per cent CuEq) from 140m, including 11m at 2.18 per cent copper and 2.07g/t gold (4.23 per cent CuEq) from 161m (WND26_001).
  • 3.97m at 6.6 per cent copper and 0.29g/t gold (6.9 per cent CuEq) from 88.03m (WND26_007).

True North said the drilling had demonstrated geological characteristics comparable to the Eloise and Jericho mineral systems, providing a framework for targeting extensions and additional mineralisation.

“These latest results continue to demonstrate the high-grade nature and value potential of Wallace North, building on the strong July drilling results that identified new high-grade hanging-wall structures for follow-up,” True North Copper (ASX:TNC) managing director Andrew Mooney said.

“Together with the expanded Cloncurry Copper Project mineral resource announced in September, the results further reinforce Wallace North as an important high-grade component of the broader CCP, while highlighting opportunities to extend mineralisation beyond the existing resource.

“With the prefeasibilty study and potential ore reserve targeted for late 2026, further drilling from late 2026 into 2027 will focus on near-mine exploration and resource extension opportunities, with the potential to grow the resource and further enhance the scale, mine life and value of the Cloncurry Copper Project.”
