Trigg Minerals is hailing a ‘fantastic technical success’ after completing three holes of a planned six-hole program at its Old Glenroy gold project in Queensland’s Drummond Basin.

The company said the preliminary results from two holes at the SW Limey prospect showed multiple indicators for a low-sulphidation epithermal system.

“Trigg’s engagement and collaboration with the technical experts at Global Ore Discovery continues to result in rapid hits of exploration milestones on our Drummond Basin gold projects,” Trigg Minerals non-executive chairman Timothy Morrison said.

“The discovery of a new epithermal system is a fantastic technical success for Trigg with follow-up targeting along this new structural trend well warranted.”

The two holes were drilled to test a newly identified IP geophysical feature at SW Limey.

Trigg described it as having similarities to the 5Moz-plus Pajingo deposit, and historical vein sampling has yielded gold results as high as 54.4g/t gold.

Sampling has been completed, with assay results are expected late in Q4 CY 2024.

The company has postponed planned drilling at the Breccia Hill prospect at Old Glenroy until a suitable drill rig becomes available.
