Trekelano yields promising results for Carnaby

Carnaby Resources is touting the Trekelano project’s potential as a ‘much larger baseload style target’ as it releases further drill assay results from the site.

The company said drilling confirmed a south plunge to the deposit which appeared to be getting wider at depth and was completely open.

Results include:

  • 164m (true width about 115m) at 0.4 per cent copper, 0.2 g/t gold, including 26m at 1.0 per cent copper, 0.6 g/t gold and including 13m at 1.6 per cent copper, 1.1g/t gold
  • 23m at 1.5 per cent copper, 0.2 g/t gold from surface including 4m at 6.1 per cent copper, 0.6g/t gold from surface

The company is acquiring the Trekelano site from Chinova Resources. It lies within a 20km radius of Carnaby’s existing Greater Duchess deposits, boosting the scale of that advanced copper-gold project.

“We continue to be extremely encouraged by the initial drilling we have completed at Trekelano and look forward to receiving and reporting more results shortly,” Carnaby managing director Rob Watkins said.

“Trekelano looks like a big mineral system that has potential to expand at depth and grow significantly with further drilling.

“We believe there is potential for Trekelano to develop into a much larger baseload style deposit to complement our other high-grade discoveries.

“Pre-feasibility studies continue apace at Greater Duchess as we track towards completion of that
study later this year and head towards development decisions.”
