Carnaby Resources says the Trek 1 extension is rapidly emerging as a very significant high-grade discovery at its Greater Duchess project, south of Mount Isa, as it unveils new assay results.

The company is continuing to drill out the Trek 1 lode extension below historical underground workings, last mined in 1945, at the Trekelano copper mine.

“It is extremely encouraging that every new hole we have drilled into the Trek 1 extension has hit high-grade breccia-controlled mineralisation, showing strong continuity within the steeply west dipping shear zone,” managing director Rob Watkins said.

“More results are pending and the drill-out of the discovery continues with two drill rigs.”

Latest assay results from Trek 1 drilling include:

• 6m (TW~4m) at 5.0 per cent CuEq (4.7 per cent copper, 0.4g/t gold) from 390m downhole, including 3m (TW~2m) at 9.6 per cent CuEq (9.0 per cent copper, 0.7g/t gold) from 393m. (This result confirms excellent continuity of the high-grade lode which has now been extended over 300m down dip).
• 13.7m (TW~7m) at 1.7 per cent CuEq (1.0 per cent copper, 0.9g/t gold) from 571m
• 8m (TW~4m) at 2.8 per cent CuEq (1.5 per cent copper, 1.5g/t gold), including 3m (TW~2m) at 5.9 per cent CuEq (2.6 per cent copper, 3.9g/t gold) from 332m

Mr Watkins said Carnaby was also highly encouraged by ongoing results at Trekelano’s Inheritance prospect, which was shaping up as a core deposit for the Greater Duchess prefeasibility study to be completed in Q1 2026.

New results there include:

• 46m (TW~39m) at 0.8 per cent CuEq (0.6 per cent copper, 0.2g/t gold) from 188m, including 17m (TW~14m) at 1.2 per cent CuEq (0.9 per cent copper, 0.3g/t gold) from 202m
• 6m (TW~5m) at 1.3 per cent CuEq (1.3 per cent copper, 0.1g/t gold) from 178m, and 47m (TW~38m) at 0.7 per cent CuEq (0.5 per cent copper, 0.2g/t gold) from 190m
