There has been a couple of tenders posted on AusTender for works located on defence assets in Townsville.

The first involves the design and construction of the upgrade of emergency lighting, the replacement of roofing and associated hydraulic systems to the Chinook Transition Team Building located at RAAF Base Townsville in Garbutt.

Other works to be carried out are the refurbishment of all office and workspaces, inclusive of repainting, floor coverings, ceiling replacement, kitchenette and wet area refurbishment. The works also in multiple buildings on base to upgrade existing roller doors.

The second project involves civil work to a carpark and two vehicle compounds at the Townsville Lavarack Barracks site including paving and concrete kerbing replacement, reinstating line marking and regrading to fix ponding issues.
