Specifications for concrete in bridges
Austroads has published four new technical specifications dealing with components and treatments used to extend the life of concrete in bridges.
Austroads program manager, assets, Ross Guppy said the specifications reflected contemporary construction practice and, wherever possible, were consistent with the relevant Australian and New Zealand standards.
ATS 5420 sets out the requirements for the supply of bolts, nuts, screws, washers, studbolts and threaded rods for steelwork. This specification also includes requirements for the supply of stainless steel fasteners.
Supply of Small Box Culverts (ATS 2230) provides information on supplying small, precast, reinforced, concrete rectangular box culverts, up to 1200mm. . .
