Sedgman to build Byerwen tailings dewatering facility
Minerals processing company Sedgman says it will start construction work this month on a tailings dewatering facility at the Byerwen mine.
The project would result in a lower operational risk profile, less power usage, and improved water recovery and management of dewatering chemicals at the site, the contractor said.
Sedgman has strong ties to the QCoal Byerwen site, located 20km west of Glenden in Queensland’s Bowen Basin.
