30-year connection powering Queensland industry
This weekend marks 30 years of operations for the Queensland Gas Pipeline (QGP).
The Jemena-owned pipeline, which was officially opened on July 25 1990, reinforced Gladstone as a thriving manufacturing region.
Speaking about the milestone, Jemena managing director Frank Tudor said the pipeline continued to play a crucial role in the Queensland and Australian economy.
“From the outset the QGP played an important role in providing reliable and affordable energy to central Queensland,” Mr Tudor said.
