FNQ jobs sprout from land restoration scheme
The first round of projects under the $500 million Land Restoration Fund has been announced - including work tipped to create 400 jobs in Far North Queensland.
The initiative will deliver regional jobs, skills and infrastructure, reduced carbon emissions, healthier waterways and more habitat for threatened species, the State Government says.
Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said nearly $93 million in the first round would go to 21 projects across the state, creating almost 690 jobs.
