Hammer builds war chest to advance copper-gold finds

Hammer Metals is pulling together a $6 million war chest to back an aggressive Mount Isa region copper exploration program following its Trafalgar discovery.

The company has received firm commitments to raise $5 million under a share placement and will also launch a share purchase plan to existing shareholders to raise up to $1 million further.

Hammer said the measures would back RC and diamond drill testing of high priority ‘Trafalgar look alike’ targets on its North-West Queensland tenements, including but not limited to Lakeview, Neptune, Serendipity, Kings, Alice and Charlotte.

MT technology provides deeper insight for Hammer

Hammer Metals has harnessed the power of magnetotelluric (MT) technology for a fresh look at its Mount Isa Project - one that reached as far as 6km below the surface.

The magnetotelluric (MT) survey was completed in March after the company attracted a Collaborative Exploration Initiative (“CEI”) grant provided by the Queensland Government.

"The magnetotelluric survey method had not been used previously in the Hammer Metals project area and it was hoped that the use of this technique could provide insights into the geology not available previously," chief operating officer Mark Whittle said.
