Latest Trek 1 results strengthen open-pit case

The latest drill results from Trek 1 clearly demonstrate the start-up potential for an open-pit development, according to Carnaby Resources managing director Rob Watkins.

Carnaby (ASX:CNB) today reported further high-grade shallow copper and gold intersections from drilling at the deposit, which lies within its Greater Duchess project, about 70km south-east of Mount Isa.

Highlights include:

  • 20m at 1.4 per cent CuEq (0.6 per cent copper, 1.0g/t gold) from 1m downhole (CBRC055) and 7m at 8.9 per cent. . .

New figures out as Greater Duchess advances

Carnaby Resources (ASX:CNB) has boosted the mineral resource estimate for the Greater Duchess project as it targets first ore production this year to capitalise on record copper and gold prices.

The updated estimate sees a solid increase in overall mineral resources of 10 per cent taking, it to 440,500 CuEq tonnes.

Carnaby super-charges copper plans with Trekelano deal

Carnaby Resources is buying the Trekelano copper-gold project from Chinova Resources to add to its Greater Duchess development in North-West Queensland.

At the same time, it has entered into a binding term sheet agreement with Glencore for tolling and offtake for 100 per cent of the fresh sulphide ore and concentrate from the project.

‘Game-changing’ survey results for Carnaby

Carnaby Resources' first VTEM survey at the Greater Duchess project in North-West Queensland has delivered game-changing results, according to managing director Rob Watkins.

A 194 line km aerial VTEM (Versatile Time Domain Electromagnetic) survey has been completed over the Mount Hope and Nil Desperandum regions within that project.
