Regional focus in new round of business grants

Queensland small businesses impacted by COVID-19 are set to receive an additional $100 million in support to help them recover.

Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said a second round of the Small Business COVID-19 Adaption grants of up to $10,000 would be made available from next month.

“Round one of the Small Business grants received an overwhelming response," Ms Palaszczuk said.

“In the second round, we are prioritising regional areas and allocating half of the funding to support small businesses in regional Queensland.”

Funds to ‘supercharge’ new economy minerals push

The State Government aims to 'supercharge' exploration for new economy minerals with $10 million in grants to be released under the second round of its COVID-19 fightback plan.

The package announced today also features a $650,000 investment in the mining equipment, technology and services sector.

Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said $10 million in exploration grants would speed the development of new mines to take advantage of high domestic and international demand in the growing “green economy”.
