Jetty repair works scheduled for Lucinda
Port of Townsville has awarded a $1.2 million repair and maintenance contract to Casa Projects for the public jetty in Lucinda.
The Little Lucinda Jetty sits next to the sugar terminal at Lucinda Port and is a popular site for fishing and recreational activities.
The maintenance project comes after AECOM last year conducted an Inshore Wharf Structural Inspection at Lucinda and produced areport finding the steel piles of the wharf stem should be repaired as soon as practical.
The scope of works will include repairing steel piles of the 68 wharf stems, steel patching plates to reinforce the stems. . .
