Boadicea marches on Drummond Basin ground

Boadicea Resources is expanding its profile in the gold-rich Drummond Basin with an application completed for a new exploration tenement known as Mount Carmel.

The company said the application covered 118sq km of a highly anomalous magnetic feature just north-east of its Clarke Reward prospect.

“Following the recent analysis of the geophysical data for our Clarke Reward project, it became apparent that anotherexploration target opportunity existed in the region," Boadicea managing director Jon Reynold.

Far East Gold reveals Drummond Basin plans

Far East Gold has revealed its upcoming work program after updating its earn-in agreement with Ellenkay Gold covering Queensland gold tenements Hill 212 and Mount Clark West.

It is looking to bring on the first phase of planned work at the Drummond Basin tenements in April or May.

Under Stage 1 of the updated earn-in agreement, Far East Gold would own the initial 49 per cent stake in the tenements for investing $500,000 into a geophysics program to shore up the value of the deposits in preparation for drill readiness and committing to enter into Stage 2. . .

QX marks the spot to boost gold holdings

QX Resources has secured a new tenement in Queensland’s Drummond Basin covering some 232sq km and prospective for gold and silver mineralisation.

The addition of the Llanarth project to its portfolio takes QX's total ground in the area to about 350sq km.

It comes as QX says it is finalising plans for a maiden drill program to commence this month at Zamia’s historical Lucky Break gold mine and extensions.

GBM continues to build gold assets around Mount Coolon

GBM Resources is continuing to build on its Drummond Basin gold strategy by snapping up the Yandan gold project in the same region as its flagship Mount Coolon asset.

At the same time it has announced completion of conditional placement to raise $5.4 million.

The company has recently highlighted its intention to build a 1 million-oz-plus resource base within a 70km radius of Mount Coolon that may be able to be fast-tracked to production.

Drummond discoveries in QX Resources’ sights

QX Resources has kicked off a soil sampling program at its Disney and Belyando tenements in Queensland's Drummond Basin.

The company - formerly Hipo Resources -said its technical team had been reviewing historical drill results and previous soil sampling reports to define a number of new highly prospective targets.

Assays results are expected later this month from a program of 300-plus samples, to be followed by a reverse circulation drilling program.

Deal to pump exploration funds into CQ goldfields

Hipo Resources is buying into a package of Central Queensland gold projects, including the historical Belyando and Lucky Break open-pit mines.

It has announced a binding heads of agreement with Zamia Metals to acquire up to 70 per cent of Zamia Resources, which holds four exploration permits over about 115 sq km in the Drummond Basin region.

Shallow open-cut operations in the 1980s and early 1990s produced about 93,000oz of gold at Belyando (pictured above) and Lucky. . .
