Feds feed dam funding for Etheridge Shire
Member for Kennedy Bob Katter is wiping the sweat from his brow and it's not because of the weather.
The cool change came about as the Federal Government announced it would fund the completion of the Charleston Dam in the Etheridge Shire.
It was a relief said Mr Katter.
“The project was partially built when the funding dried up,” he said.
“Then Etheridge Shire Mayor, Warren Devlin approached me to secure an extra $3 m in funding so the project would be completed.
“We held a number of successful meetings with Deputy Prime Minister, Michael McCormack, that have resulted. . .
