Adani rebrands after 10 years in Australia

'Stop Adani' protesters and 'Start Adani' supporters will all need a new catchcry after news the Carmichael coal mine developer is rebranding.

Adani is launching a new brand for its Australian mining business, Bravus Mining & Resources.

It comes as the company marks its 10-year anniversary of operations in Australia and construction of the controversial Carmichael coal mine and rail network continues at full pace.

Anti-Adani activist fined for security guard assault

A anti-Adani protester has been fined $1500 for assaulting a security guard at a Carmichael coal construction site in Central Queensland in September last year.

Canadian Michael Kyneston, 48, pleaded guilty to assault occasioning bodily harm when the matter was heard in Clermont Magistrates Court yesterday.

A second protester - Sheridan Vautier, 23, - was expected to appear remotely, but failed to do so and her matter was adjourned until October 14.

In a statement today Adani said the physical assault occurred during a protest organised and publicised by anti-coal activist group Frontline Action on Coal (FLAC).

Adani wins injunction against anti-coal activist

Adani has won a battle against an anti-Carmichael mine activist, with the Queensland Supreme Court granting an injunction against activities including a 'Dob in a Contractor' campaign.

The ruling will require Galilee Blockade spokesman Ben Pennings to remove online material related to that campaign and content encouraging collection of confidential information about the mine.

An Adani spokeswoman said the injunction was requested in order to prevent Mr Pennings from continuing a sustained campaign of harassment and intimidation against the business and its contractors whilst the civil legal proceedings Adani had brought against him were underway.

Adani accommodation camps taking shape

Adani Australia has released a time lapse video of construction of its second temporary rail camp for the Carmichael coal project, as workers and accommodation on site continue to grow.

The company said expansion of its mine accommodation to 400-beds was complete to cater for additional contractors and staff on site.

The first 400-bed rail camp is complete with the second just about to come online and a third underway to provide a total of 1200 beds across those temporary rail accommodation villages.
