Strategic Energy Resources has secured a $275,000 Collaborative Exploration Initiative grant to drill test the Nardoo copper-gold prospect at its Isa North project.

The State Government grant will fund diamond drill testing of the N8 target at Nardoo, which SER describes as a compelling geophysical target that was also independently identified by a machine learning model ranking prospects across the North West.

“The aim of the Collaborative Exploration Initiative is the discovery of mineral deposits,” SER managing director David DeTata said.

“Securing financial support from the Queensland Government to drill at Isa North validates our scientific approach to exploration.

“SER once again acknowledges the Queensland Government for their vision and continued support of our exploration program which has the potential to fundamentally change existing beliefs regarding the prospectivity of undercover extensions of the Mount Isa Inlier.”

SER said it had completed landholder agreements and heritage clearances in preparation for drilling.

A site visit will be conducted shortly to assess ground conditions post-wet season in anticipation of drilling commencing in mid-2025.
