Robert Logan Jack (1845-1921) is arguably Queensland’s most famous geologist. He was a prolific researcher and author whose work opened up Queensland for both mining and farming/grazing.
The maps have been collected and curated as a labour of love by red mining engineer, Ross Thomas.
These maps were drawn between 1877 and 1899 and presented to parliament during his tenure as chief geologist with the Geological Survey of Queensland. The maps are contained in a leather-bound book with gold leaf inlay and can be purchased at a cost of $250. The stock is limited.
