Carnaby Resources has racked up assays results including 40m at 1.9 per cent copper and 20m at 2.1 per cent copper from further drilling at its Greater Duchess project.

“Carnaby continues to advance and grow the Greater Duchess project through new discoveries and resource definition and extension drilling as part of the Greater Duchess pre-feasibility study,” managing director Rob Watkins said.

“Numerous drill results are pending and we are extremely encouraged by what we are seeing on the ground at the new undrilled VTEM conductors at Mohawk, Mohawk 3, Pronuba and San Quentin, which are rapidly advancing to first pass drill testing this month.”

The Mount Hope deposit is the cornerstone of the Greater Duchess project, with a maiden mineral resource estimate of 10.3Mt at 1.7 per cent CuEq for 173kt CuEq.

Latest results from the Mount Hope Central prospect include:

• Hole MHDD202 – Boomerang Lode 40m (TW~20m) at 1.9 per cent copper, 0.3 g/t gold (284m), Chalcus Lode 10m (TW~5m) at 1.0 per cent copper, 0.3g/t gold (402m), and 8m (TW~4m) at 1.9 per cent copper, 0.4g/t gold (443m)
• MHDD200 – Chalcus Lode 12m (TW~6m) at 3.3 per cent copper, 0.5 g/t gold (481m)
• MHGT06 – Boomerang Lode 36m (TW~21m) at 1.4 per cent copper, 0.1 g/t gold (191m), including 20m (TW~12m) at 2.1per cent copper, 0.2g/t gold (191m).

Assay results have also been returned from RC drilling at the Mohawk discovery, 2km south-east of Mount Hope. Highlights include:

• MKRC006 – 39m at 0.5 per cent copper, 0.02 g/t gold (46m), and 7m at 1.0 per cent copper, 0.1g/t gold (122m)
• MKRC005 -15m at 0.6 per cent copper, 0.03 g/t gold (161m), and 9m at 1.5 per cent copper, 0.4g/t gold (262m)
