Major work opportunities in the wind for CQ

Renewable energy developer Windlab is set to share the good oil on its Queensland projects, including the $3 billion Clarke Creek wind, solar and battery farm, at a luncheon in Gladstone next Wednesday (March 22).

Clarke Creek will deliver 100 wind turbines in Stage 1 alone, pumping out 450MW of green energy by 2025.

Connecting Industry luncheon organiser Kieran Moran said Queensland was being recognised globally as an ideal location for Renewable Energy Zones (REZ).

“When fully operational, Clarke Creek will displace enormous amounts of carbon each year by harnessing the renewable energy of the wind and sun to power our homes and commercial premises,” he said.

“Guest speaker at the luncheon is Windlab head of construction John Burke.

“The strategic focus of the luncheon is to not only highlight Windlab’s and Squadron Energy’s business and procurement opportunities to assist the supply chain in their planning for future work opportunities, but to also allow the resource and construction supply chain throughout Queensland get the right information and make informed choices.”

The Connecting Industry luncheon is being held from 11.30am to 1.30pm at the Yaralla Sports Club in Gladstone.
