Blair Athol mine owner TerraCom’s shares are suspended from trading on the Australian Securities Exchange as the market awaits details of ‘material impairments’ flagged on its South African and Australian assets.
The company requested a trading halt followed by a suspension earlier this week pending the release of an announcement in relation to its financial results for the year ended June 30.
The ASX today advised that its securities would continue to be suspended from quotation under Listing Rule 17.5 as the company had not yet lodged its annual report.
Denison Gas executive chair Xingjin Wang has been elected as a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences & Engineering (ATSE).

Denison said his research into helping gas flow more easily from coal seams helped lay the technical foundations of Queensland’s gas industry. In recent years he has led the Denison team in reviving the mothballed Denison Trough gas fields.
“Australia has abundant energy resources that are often challenging to develop. Innovation can unlock those resources and provide reliable energy while creating opportunities for existing infrastructure,” Dr Wang said.
“I am honoured to join ATSE and contribute to its work on Australia’s future engineering and technology challenges. I have been fortunate to work with outstanding engineers, geoscientists, researchers, students and colleagues throughout my career and I have learned from all of them.”
Dr Wang, a geologist by training, will be formally welcomed into the ATSE Fellowship in Sydney on October 28.

The Gladstone Area Water Board (GAWB) has completed the $57 million East End pipeline project on time and under budget.
The project replaced 23km of ageing treated water pipeline between Boat Creek pump station and East End reservoir and included upgrades to the pump station.
GAWB acting chief executive officer Scott Wikman said completing the project on time and under budget was a strong outcome for GAWB and its customers. “The East End Pipeline is an important part of GAWB’s water network, and its renewal was necessary to ensure we can continue providing safe and reliable water to our customers,” Mr Wikman said.
