Zeotech (ASX: ZEO) has executed a non-binding memorandum of understanding with global construction and civil engineering company VINCI Construction to collaborate on concrete trials and demonstrations using AusPozz high-performance metakaolin.

Zeotech said the collaboration was intended to advance the application of high-reactivity metakaolin in low-carbon concrete and support the continued development and commercialisation of AusPozz.

Zeotech’s AusPozz manufacturing project would draw on ultra-high purity kaolin from its Toondoon deposit to make metakaolin – a low-carbon alternative to traditional cement – at a facility at the Port of Bundaberg.

Pacgold (ASX: PGO) has changed its name to Broken Hill Gold following shareholder approval at a general meeting last week.

Broken Hill Gold is focused on advancing the White Dam project in South Australia, with the change of name reflecting its sharpened strategic focus following the approved demerger of its North Queensland exploration assets.

Pacgold inked a deal in June to demerge its advanced Alice River gold project and St George gold-antimony project in return for 64 million shares in unlisted public company Manda Resources.

GBM Resources (ASX: GBM) reports that step-out drilling has confirmed the continuation of the prospective Milled Matrix Breccia (BXM) host horizon at least 700m south of the 309 mineral resource at the Twin Hills gold project.

Results included 8m at 1.31g/t gold from 126m, hosted within an interpreted brecciated structural zone at the Stella prospect. Assays for about 60 per cent of the metres drilled at Stella remain outstanding.

“A significant outcome from our Stage 2 drilling program has been the recognition that much of the historical drilling across Twin Hills was simply too shallow to adequately test the prospective BXM host sequence,” chief executive officer Daniel Hastings said.

“Our improved geological understanding has fundamentally changed the way we view the project. Rather than isolated mineralised bodies, we now recognise a laterally extensive mineralised host sequence extending well beyond the existing 309 MRE.”
