Quick fire – industry news briefs

GBM Resources (ASX: GBM) has launched a multi-rig Stage 2 drilling program at the Twin Hills project in the Drummond Basin, with plans for about 20,000m of reverse circulation and 30,000m of diamond drilling.

This builds on the company’s Stage 1 program, which delivered results including 52m at 2.77g/t gold from 299m (Lone Sister) and 37m at 5.00g/t gold from 225m (309) – both outside the existing mineral resource estimate.

“Stage 1 drilling at Twin Hills delivered significant extensions to the known mineralisation and provided a greater understanding of the geology and controls to mineralisation, allowing the company to develop an aggressive Stage 2 drilling program, targeting significant resource growth at Twin Hills,” chief executive officer Daniel Hastings said.

“We anticipate to progressively receive results which will culminate in an updated Twin Hills MRE in the second half of the year and are extremely confident that the program will greatly accelerate the timelines for development of production at Twin Hills.”

Native Mineral Resources (ASX: NMR) has kicked off a 21-hole grade control drilling program at Podosky (ML 10315).

Podisky is part of its joint venture with Haoma Mining to develop the Ravenswood Gold Project, about 75km east of NMR’s Blackjack mine and processing operations in North Queensland.

“We are undertaking resource definition drilling to verify historic results and establish a JORC 2012-compliant mineral resource estimate, with plans to commence mining at Podosky later in Q1 CY2026,” NMR managing director and chief executive officer Blake Cannavo said.

Antares Metals (ASX: AM5) has reported high-grade results from rock chip samples collected from the Startle and Astound prospects within its Mount Isa North project.

Samples returned results up to 27.0 per cent copper, 2.66g/t gold and 31g/t silver. The company said about 89 per cent of the samples collected returned copper values greater than 1 per cent.

“These fantastic results from Startle and Astound are a fitting close to a very successful and
positive first exploration season on our Mt Isa North project,” Antares managing director Terence Topping said.

Far East Gold (ASX: FEG) has recommenced drilling at Mount Clark West, about 24km north of Nebo, following delays caused by seasonal rainfall over the end-of-year period.

The company is drilling the second diamond hole of a planned two- to-three hole exploration program, with each hole designed to test defined geophysical targets to 600m depth.

Far East Gold has received formal confirmation from the Queensland Government that EPM 26008 (Mount Clark West) has been extended until February 2031, with the statutory relinquishment requirement deferred until February 2030.

Killi Resources (ASX: KLI) has identified a significant gold-copper-molybdenum geochemical anomaly associated with a large intrusive breccia within the King Louie prospect at Mount Rawdon West, inland from Bundaberg.

The find stems from infill surface geochemical programs and ground magnetic surveys undertaken at key areas of interest including large areas of geochemical anomalism at Baloo and King Louie.

That work has also defined two priority targets for drilling within the large Baloo geochemical anomaly.

Killi said work to secure access and permits for drilling of the King Louie Breccia and Rawdon Fault targets was underway as a priority.
