Omega Oil and Gas has announced the successful completion of the fracture stimulation program at its Canyon-1H horizontal well in the Taroom Trough within Queensland's Bowen Basin. The fracture stimulation program, completed by Halliburton, was executed as per the plan, the company said. The flow testing program is expected to last about 30 days. 'This extended testing period will allow Omega to gather important data on the reservoir performance of the Canyon sandstone,' the company said in an update to the ASX. 'The successful execution of the Canyon-1H fracture stimulation program and commencement of the flow testing program marks a significant milestone in Omega's efforts to unlock the potential of the Canyon field. These preliminary results are very promising, and the company looks forward to providing further updates as the flow testing program progresses.' Dart Mining says it has intersected significant sulphide mineralisation across multiple veins in the first two drillholes of a campaign at Triumph in Central Queensland. Drilling had confirmed the presence of sulphides at expected locations as well as additional sulphide veining outside of the previously defined mineral resource domains, the company said. “Dart is pleased with the visual results from the drilling processed so far," Dart chairman James Chirnside said. "Drilling has intersected sulphide mineralisation in expected locations, as well as additional sulphide veining beyond the known resource area. "Additional veining identified at such an early stage of drilling, and in such close proximity to the known resources is an exciting development and highlights the significant potential for growth despite the extensive work already completed across the project." Aeris Resources has announced the appointment of Dane Van Heerden as chief financial officer following on from her appointment as acting CFO in August. She will also continue in her role as company secretary. Rob Brainsbury remains on extended personal leave and will return to a new role. Further results from diamond drill holes at the Blackjack gold project near Charters Towers continue to confirm shallow gold mineralisation, according to Native Mineral Resources. Assays include 9m at 0.896g/t gold from 25m downhole including 3m at 2.32g/t gold from 31m. “As we advance our gold production restart plans at Charters Towers in Q3 CY25, the latest assays from our current drilling program at Blackjack continue to demonstrate the presence of shallow gold mineralisation at Blackjack and increase our confidence in the historic results by intercepting gold mineralisation at shallow depths," managing director Blake Cannavo said. "We look forward to receiving further results from this program as drilling continues through March. "The Blackjack deposit is only 600m from our Blackjack gold processing plant, which we are refurbishing on schedule and budget, and we remain confident of achieving gold production and executing our growth strategy over the coming months.”
