AusIMM’s International Women’s Day (IWD) Event Series, featuring seven lunches across the nation, will kick off in Queensland on February 26.
The peak professional group has appointed seven ambassadors for the 2026 series. Their brief is to inspire others through sharing their leadership journeys, their perspectives on diversity, equity and inclusion, and their motivation to keep driving positive change across the industry.
They include:
- Kara Gear, Whitehaven general manager of learning and development
- Kerry Turnock, BHP head of geoscience excellence
- Ivy Lee, Weir director supply chain APAC
- Michelle Radley, Rio Tinto general manager Ports Dampier

Resource Operators Conference – Brisbane, February 5 and 6
