Powerlink Queensland has come on board as a Blue Sky Partner for Central Queensland aeromedical service CapRescue for the next three years.

CapRescue’s two helicopters rapidly deploy medical and rescue teams to major crashes, workplace incidents, disasters and other urgent cases across an area of 350,000sq km.

Powerlink general manager of communications, customer and engagement Gerard Reilly said the partnership signified Powerlink’s commitment to safety through investing in the critical care provided by a community-based organisation.

“Safety of the community – and our people – is in Powerlink’s DNA,” Mr Reilly said.

“We recognise the importance of regional Queenslanders having access to a free state-of-the-art medical service.

CapRescue chief executive officer Darren Pirie expressed gratitude to Powerlink as a Blue Sky Partner.
