Online prospectus to draw critical minerals investment

The Federal Government has launched a new digital Australian Critical Minerals Prospectus, showcasing more than 55 investment-ready projects.

The digital prospectus features an interactive online map displaying a range of projects and information links.

Queensland projects highlighted include HPA First in Gladstone, the Richmond-Julia Creek vanadium project, Sconi, Mount Carbine and silica sand projects on Cape York.

“Australia is ready and willing to meet the growing global demand for critical minerals, and we welcome international investment in key projects across the country,” Trade and Tourism Minister Don Farrell said.

“Australia has all the critical minerals the world needs and we need investment to get these projects up and running.

“The new online prospectus shines a spotlight on over 55 investor-ready projects, which will attract the investment we need to build new industries, create more jobs, and become a renewable energy superpower.”

He said the government was also incentivising investment in critical minerals projects through a range of programs, including the $4 billion Critical Minerals Facility and the recently announced $7 billion Critical Minerals Production Tax Incentive.
